XACT® is Geologic®'s drilling-engineering command platform: a production web application that takes a well from the first offset review to the signed end-of-well report inside a single governed workspace. It ingests offset well corpora, daily drilling reports, and public or client-supplied well records, and converts them into structured, human-verified wellpacks that power every downstream workflow: gap analysis and offset selection, a section-by-section drilling program builder wired to engineering calculators, document-grade Word export, live operations tracking, and economics. The platform today spans more than 70 application pages across seven workspaces, served by more than 90 modular API services.

Two design decisions define XACT®. First, the drilling program is a native Word document, not a PDF lookalike: the .docx file is the single source of truth, rendered on-screen through a Word-accurate live preview, so what engineers review is exactly what the client receives. Second, no unverified data drives a decision: AI-assisted extraction proposes structured values from well records, but every wellpack passes a human verification workbench before it enters the library. The result is an operator-neutral platform where offset knowledge, engineering calculations, daily reports, and tender statistics share one auditable data thread.
