Geologic® ("we", "us") is a geoscience consulting and technology company headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This policy explains what personal data we collect through www.geologic.ac, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in accordance with the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations.
Data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, subject, and message, when you choose to send them to us.
- Report and brief requests: your first and last name, email address, company, job title, and country when you request a project brief or report, together with your choice of whether to receive further updates from us.
- Account data: if you register for a client account - your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and strictly necessary cookies - a session cookie to keep you signed in and a functional cookie that remembers your language choice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries you send us.
- To deliver the project briefs and reports you request and to contact you about them.
- Where you have opted in, to send you occasional updates about our work; you can withdraw this at any time.
- To operate client accounts and provide our services.
- To secure the website (for example, rate limiting and abuse prevention).
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Sharing
Your data is shared only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf - the providers that host the website and its database, and the email-delivery provider we use to send you brief and report links and to notify our team of your request - under agreements that restrict their use of it, and with authorities where the law requires it.
Retention and security
Contact messages and brief and report requests are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable business record thereafter. Passwords are stored only as cryptographic hashes. Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel.
Your rights
Subject to the PDPL, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on it. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@geologic.ac.
